My Skin Care Routine

One of my absolute favorite skin care brands is Zo Skin Health. I’ve shared plenty of Zo Skin Health products with you in the past whether it was on Just Peachy, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. I’ve been using their skin care products for a few years and I am without a doubt addicted. I get asked (almost daily) about what I use on my skin, and this post is going to break it down for ya. This is going to be a lengthy one, so let’s get to it!

One thing you need to understand right off the bat is, everyone has a different skin type. I have normal/combination skin. The products that work for me, may not necessarily work for you. Before purchasing any skin care product you should know your skin type and if you’re unsure about that, you should consult a dermatologist.

You can search for a Zo Skin Health authorized physician here. I am not a doctor and I cannot recommend products for you, I can only share my experience with the products I’ve personally used.

Cleanser

Zo Medical Oilacleanse (for normal-oily skin)– This cleanser has worked wonders on my skin. It gently removes impurities and eliminates excess oil (especially my T-Zone) without feeling dehydrated. Not only does it cleanse the skin, but it will help prevent pores from clogging- bonus! The smell alone makes me fall in love with it all over again. It has a very fresh, citrusy smell to it and it makes me want to eat it. Not even joking.

Zo Medical Foamacleanse (for all skin types)– This cleanser has treated my skin equally as amazing as the Oilacleanse. It removes makeup SO good, eliminates excess oils, gives my skin a deep cleanse, and leaves it feeling insanely refreshed. I love using this product with my Clarisonic device for an extra deep cleaning. Not a day has gone by that I haven’t used my Clarisonic since I got it, and the results are magical. I own the Mia 1 Clarisonic and the Mia FIT (which is smaller) for when I’m travelling. Even though the Clarisonic devices can be a bit on the expensive side, it is well worth the investment. It has easily become a staple in my skin care regime and you can read about all the benefits in my Clarisonic post here.

I find myself alternating back and forth between these two cleansers just to switch things up a bit. They both provide exactly what my skin needs. Ugh, so good.

Exfoliate

Zo Skin Health Offects Exfoliating Polish– I always exfoliate twice a week right after I cleanse my skin. This product contains ultra fine magnesium crystals to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. By doing so, it increases the cell turnover rate, leaving the skin visibly smoother and with a more even complexion. Exfoliating our skin is important to allow better penetration of active ingredients in other products. I need to also mention it smells like blue kool-aid. That’s enough of a reason to indulge in this best selling exfoliating polish– oh baby!

Treatments

Zo Skin Health Ossential Daily Power Defense– This is a light weight lotion that I use after I cleanse my skin in the morning. Ready to hear the magic that it provides? It fights free radicals damage by protecting the skin with powerful antioxidants, helps to tighten and firm, and helps to support the skin’s natural barrier to repair damage and to protect against future damage. This product is one of Zo Skin Health’s best sellers, and with good reason. This is a must for my skin, and is suitable for all skin types.

Zo Skin Health Ossential Growth Factor Serum– Another one of Zo Skin Health’s  best sellers, a gel serum that delivers strength to weak skin, reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles, promotes brighter skin, and provides ultimate hydration and reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier to combat future damage. I apply this golden product after my evening cleanse and extend it all the way down my neck. My skin loves this product and it can cater to all skin types, even the most sensitive.

Zo Skin Health Olluminate Intense Eye Repair–  A lot of people forget about treating the eye area, but I can’t stress the importance of caring for the skin around the eyes- regardless of skin type. I apply this targeted eye cream (AM and PM) around my eyes, patting until the product is fully absorbed. It helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, protects against free radicals, and has light diffusers that reflect light to reduce the look of imperfections. I’m so bad for squinting when I don’t have my glasses on, so I tell myself this product erases all those fine lines that I’m creating (oops!). Thank you for fixing me, Zo Skin Health!

Zo Medical Hydrafirm Eye Brightening Repair Crème– This best seller eye crème works wonders on my dark circles. It reduces multiple signs of aging, like puffiness, fine lines, and supports elasticity. I use this product AM and PM, patting into my orbital area until fully absorbed. Like the face cleansers, I will alternate between this two eye products just to switch it up a bit. Both are equally amazing treatments for my eye area- love!

Sun Protection

Zo Skin Health Oclipse Sunscreen & Primer SPF 30– The love/hate relationship I have with the sun is so real. I love that golden glow (who doesn’t?), but not at the expense of my skin’s health. This sunscreen protects against UVA, UBA, and HEV (high energy visible light). If you haven’t heard of HEV, it’s the blue light emitted from our phones, laptops, computers- basically anything with a screen. Most people don’t know that HEV can penetrate deeper than UVA and UBA rays- shocking, right? This is why it’s SO important to apply a product like this to your skin daily and make it part of your skin routine.

It works uhhhh-mazing as a makeup primer and also feels great without makeup. Leaving the skin with a tinted, matte, silky finish. Peeeerfection. Oh, and it has a 12 hour antioxidant release to protect against photodamage. Could this product get any better? Like, seriously.

skin care

There are a few products I use from another brand that consists of my day/night creams, toners, and neck creams. Santa (AKA my mom) always stocks me up at Christmas with those goodies. Once I finish those products, I’d like to tackle the creams from Zo Skin Health. Because let’s be real, I’m already using 80% Zo Skin Health products, might as well make it a solid 100%. Amiright?

I know this is a lot of information, and most of us can’t afford to purchase all these products at once. I took my time with building my skin care routine- like years! Start with the basics like a cleanser, toner, and day/night cream. From there you can start adding in treatments like serums, eye products, exfoliators and more. It’s not cheap to have great product, but as we age the importance of skin care will become more of a priority (it did for me anyways).

If you’re looking to start using some of theses amazing Zo Skin Health products you can find a specialist and location near you, here.

Happy skin caring-ing!
