If you’ve been following me along on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and Tim along his YouTube vlog channel, you know we were recently vacationing in Maui. Maaaan, that trip was FUN! I was completely burnt out from working my full-time job as an esthetician and I was totally ready for a vacation, read about my work life here. We didn’t set any alarms, we let the sun wake us up, we ate (a lot), we slept early (we old), we laid on the beach, and we shopped!
Our resort in Wailea was ever so conveniently right next to a shopping center. Can I get an amen?! Hallelujah! It started because Tim and I were on an innocent hunt for sunblock (very necessary) and happened to stop at the first place we saw. We quickly ran in and scooped up some sunblock and had an impromptu ahi poke break (oooohhh yeaaaah!) Even though we were done getting the things on our list, we decided to do a little lap around the rest of the mall. Well, actually that’s a lie. Tim just so happened to open up his Pokémon Go and discovered a congregation of Pokémon around the massive water fountain in the middle of the mall, so I took it upon myself to look around without him as he caught Pokémon (boy, bye!)
I came across this store called Mahina and at first I just peeked at their window displays, but after falling in love with the mannequins outfits, I had to go in. Thank goodness I did because I found pieces I am just gaga over. I didn’t wear all my new outfits while in Maui, but here’s a peek of what I did.
This ultra soft aztec dress caught my eye immediately! It’s cut in all the right places and the neutral colors are right up my alley. It’s lightweight, which made it perfect for wearing to the beach and having lunch/dinner in the scorching Maui temperatures. This find totally came in handy for the duration of my Hawaii vacation. Also…I’m loving the fact that it’s perfect for going braless. Thumbs up!
This outfit was super easy to wear with this hat by Life Is Good, a couple pieces of jewellery, and my sandals that I wear with like…everything. Unfortunately I can’t find these sandals in stores anymore, but I did get them from DSW a few years ago and luckily they carry tons of Zigi Soho sandals, so you might be able to find something similar here!
This. Crop. Top. Right. Here. Though. It’s a super soft knitted material with the best stretch that makes it amazingly comfortable. I paired it with these ripped cutoff shorts, my go to jewellery pieces, and a fun pair of sunnies by Quay! And again…no bra necessary! Oh, and PS…to those thinking of getting their belly buttons pierced, you WILL be left with a hole to last you a lifetime. Did you see mine above? I mean how could you not. Think twice about your decisions, kiddies! <3
What would you pair with these pieces from Mahina Wailea?
