Can you guys believe that Tim and I have been together for five years?! We recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary and you can read about that here. It’s so cliché to say that time flies by, but dammit it’s true! At this point we both get a lot of questions like, “When are you going to get married?” and “When are you going to move in together?” And all I have to say is…whenever we feel like it guys!
Everybody’s relationship is so different and there’s no right or wrong way to do it. I feel like sometimes people get caught up in what’s suppose to happen next or how a “normal” relationship should be. Some couples are swingers, some adopt 10 children, some live in separate countries, and some get married at 18. If you or anyone you know fall into one of these examples, then do your thing and let it be! As long as you’re happy, then that’s all that matters. What I’m saying is you should never make a decision just because there is pressure to do so. At the end of the day it’s my life that’s going to change, and no one else’s.
If you’ve been following me and Tim on Instagram, then you know we’ve recently started looking at houses in LA. We are at a point in our lives where we feel like this is the right step. This step didn’t feel right 2 years ago or even 1 year ago. Does this mean we are going to by a house tonight and I’m moving to LA tomorrow? No. It means we are taking our time in deciding what we want for our future. Will I move to LA? That’s the plan. When? Who really knows. You know that saying that goes, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” Well, I couldn’t have said it better myself, that’s exactly how I feel!
We are enjoying ourselves one day at a time and growing our relationship the way we want to. The future is exciting, but we don’t really know what it holds. All we can do is cherish the time we have, while we have it =)! For a look at our house hunting adventure, check out the video below! Make sure you never miss a vlog as we figure our shit out and subscribe to Tim’s channel here. Leave me a comment below about what makes you happy in your life. I’d love to know!
