Holiday Nail Guide
Can you believe it’s (almost) December? That means holiday parties are upon us. Makeup, dresses, nails and toes must be on point! To help us out, Gelish and their sister company, Morgan Taylor, created a new collection called, ‘Wrapped in Glamour Holiday 2016’ for our nails and toes this season (yay)! Lucky for us, it’s available in both light cured and regular polish form to suit everyones needs. So, keep reading if you need nail color inspo for December!
This holiday collection is highly festive with lots of pearl and glitter and it has the truest Christmas red (in my opinion) to make my heart skip a beat. I’m always drawn to bold reds so I had to apply ‘Who Nose Rudolph’ on myself (in Gelish light cured form) and I’m happy to report this color applies highly saturated with 2 coats- love it! Pair this nail color with a bold red lip, like this one by Maybelline called ‘Red-dy or Not’. ‘Who Nose Rudolph’ is the only crème finish in the collection, the rest is pearl and glitter city!
The pearl finishes include a cranberry shade ‘Rocking my Stocking’, a rich maroon ‘You’re So Elf Centered’, and a gorgeous navy ‘Girl Meets Joy’. I find all those colors to only take 2 coats, however longer nails may require a third coat for best coverage. For Morgan Taylor products I recommend using their ‘React Extended Wear Base Coat’ and ‘React Extended Wear Top Coat’ for best results.
The glitter polishes are flawless and include a rosy bronze ‘Just Naughty Enough’ and a silver ‘Let’s Get Frosty’. These are perfect shades to do an accent nail or a full set of glitter for the real party animals.
Slay the holidays with any of these colors. Which will you choose?
P.S. The dress I’m wearing in my feature photo is super old so I couldn’t find it online. Luckily, I found something very similar from Fashion Nova in wine and hunter green (sexy!). Oh, and use my code XoChia to save 15% off your purchase =)!
