#ootd: My Summer Vibes

When it comes to choosing my outfits, I like to keep things plain and simple. I don’t like a lot of color or pattern, so my wardrobe consists of a lot of solid colors (mostly neutrals). It’s not that I don’t love fun colors, I just don’t want it on my clothes. I wear a lot of bold color on my nails because I love the contrast it creates with my neutral outfits. I also find that I get tired of bright colors quickly, so when I spend money on clothing I want to be able to love that piece forever in black, grey, or white!

This look is one of my summer go-to’s because it’s easy, cute, and can be mixed and matched with so many pieces you probably forgot you had! All it takes is a simple dress, a long cardi (I love mine off the shoulder), any hat, a pair of sneakers, and a bag! You could easily toss on a few more pieces of jewellery or a watch to jazz it up a bit, but I chose to go with the hair tie bracelet, lol.

I love this look for weekends when I’m too tired to think of what I’m going to wear, and for when I don’t want to do my hair or makeup lol. It’s hard enough putting together work outfits during the week and waking up early enough to toss on some makeup. This #ootd is care-free and that’s how I like my weekends, damnit!

It’s also the best because you can get it for under $100 (excluding the shoes) at stores like Forever XXI or H&M. I bought my dress 2/$30 a long time ago from Le Chateau and I doubt they have them anymore, but I found the cutest jersey dress from H&M for only $14.99 in a variety of colors  hereAlong with a longer cardi here for $29.99 and a medium length cardi here for $19.99.

Toss on a pair of your favorite sneakers (I have on Air Presto by Nike), add a bag, and a hat (like this one from Goodie Brand) and you’re well on your way!
